Valentine’s Day reminder ng Thailand: Safe pandemic sex

Nagpaalala ang health authorities ng Thailand ngayong Valentine’s Day sa mga couple na gawin ang safe pandemic sex — tulad ng pagsusuot ng face masks habang nagtatalik.


Ang daily coronavirus case numbers sa Southeast Asian tourism hub ay umakyat ng 8,000 sa simula pa lamang ng buwan.


Ayon sa mga health authorities, posibleng ngayong February 14 ay tumaas ang kaso ng COVID-19.


“Covid isn’t a sexually transmitted disease, but catching Covid is possible through close-contact breathing and exchanging saliva,” ani Bureau of Reproductive Health director Bunyarit Sukrat sa pahayag sa Agence France-Presse (AFP) nitong Biyernes.


Inirekomenda rin niya na magsagawa ng antigen test bago ang kanilang date upang maiwasan ang hawahan.


Ayon pa kay Bunyarit, “lovers are urged to avoid face-to-face sex positions and deep kissing” at pinapayuhang gumamit ng contraceptives kung nais maiwasan ang unwanted pregnancy.


“If possible, wearing face masks while having sex can help reduce Covid risks,” aniya pa.


Popular ang Valentine’s Day sa Thailand at kinokonsidera bilang masuwerteng araw para magpakasal ang mga couples.
