Pinalawig ng Pilipinas ang travel restrictions sa mga biyahero mula sa sampung bansa hanggang sa Agosto 15 upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19 Delta variant, ayon sa Malacañang.
Saad ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, "President Rodrigo Duterte approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to extend the travel restrictions currently imposed to 10 countries until August 15. These countries include India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand."
Samantala, inilabas na rin ng Malacañang ang listahan ng mga bansang ikinokonsidera bilang “green countries” o ang mga low-risk sa COVID-19 na binubuo ng: Albania, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Comoros, Djibouti, Gabon, American Samoa, Australia, Bermuda, Bulgaria, Chad, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Anguilla, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, China, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Ghana, Grenada, Kosovo, Marshall Islands, Montserrat, Niger, Northern Mariana Islands, Romania, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Slovakia, Hong Kong, Laos, Federated States of Micronesia, New Caledonia, Nigeria, Palau, Saba, Singapore, Taiwan, Hungary, Mali, Moldova, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Poland, Saint Barthelemy, Sint Eustatius, at Togo.
