Patay ang isang pulis nang manlaban ang suspek na kanyang inaaresto sa buy-bust operation sa Brgy. Kinasang-an, Cebu City ngayong Miyerkules.
Kinilala ang pulis bilang si Police Staff Sgt. Ryan Languido Baculi, isang tauhan ng Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, na nasawi dahil sa maraming tama ng bala.
“Today (Miyerkules), the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) woke up to sad news that one of our personnel was killed while performing his duty. A bemedalled police officer, father of five children paid the ultimate sacrifice of being a law enforcer. We condemn the killing of our police officer who was performing his job,” saad ni Police Lt. Col. Gerard Ace Pelare, spokesperson of PRO-7 chief Police Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin.
Nag-atas na si Aberin na isagawa ang isang manhunt operation laban sa mga suspek na nakilala bilang sina Atong Rafols at Ramil Salazar.
