Mandaluyong City. Every day lotto enthusiasts purchase lottery tickets in hopes of winning a life-changing jackpot prize. This week, one lucky player from Davao Del Sur claimed the Lotto 6/42 grand prize - a whopping lottery jackpot prize of P 35,314,806.60 at the PCSO Main Office, Shaw Boulevard Mandaluyong City which was drawn on January 17, 2023, after correctly guessing the winning combination of 34-24-02-06-33-07 during the live draw via PTV 4.

A 63-year-old senior citizen is a new millionaire, having purchased the winning ticket at a Davao City lotto outlet. She claims she has never worked in her life because she needs to care for her family, including her grandchildren. Her only source of income is his late husband's SSS pension. Every Sunday, she serves as a lector commentator at church.

During the interview, she stated that the only numbers she has been paying attention to are 07 and 02 because her birthday is on July 2, while the other four numbers, 34-24-06, and 33, just came to mind and she began to shade them. “Ngayon ko lamang po tinaayan ang kumbinasyong ng mga numero na ito”, added by her.

She believes that miracles occur for those who are in need. Every day, she prays for the lottery to be won. For her, going from humble beginnings to becoming a millionaire overnight will bring about significant change in their life.

“ Ako po ay nagpapasalamat una sa Panginoon sa biyayang ipinagkaloob sa akin at sa aking buong pamilya. Sa PCSO, maraming salamat at sana po ay marami pa kayong matulungang mga tao na umaasa sa inyo, maraming salamat po,” expressed by the winner.

Under the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law, a 20% tax will automatically be deducted from the jackpot prize. Under the PCSO charter, winnings should be claimed within one year from the date of draw, otherwise the same would be forfeited to form part of PCSO Charity Fund.

The agency reminds winners to secure their tickets and write their name and signature at the back. It must not be wrinkled, folded, or even have a single tear on it. The bar code must not be damaged, as it is an essential component of the ticket for validation. The lotto terminal should be able to read the bar code.

Winning numbers and other details of PCSO games, products, and services can be viewed at the official PCSO website at www.pcso.gov.ph, the official FB page at https://www.facebook.com/pcsoofficialsocialmedia, and PCSO GOV for YouTube

PCSO would like to thank the millions of lotto patrons nationwide for supporting PCSO gaming products. With the public’s continuous support, the agency is able to provide charity services to individuals and institutions in need of financial and medical assistance.
