Sindikato, mas rich at powerful na.. Drug war ni Duterte, naabuso — P-BBM

Aminado si President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., na may nangyaring pang-aabuso sa war on drugs noong administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.


Ayon kay Marcos, itinuon noong nakaraang administrasyon ang war on drugs sa law enforcement kaya nagkaroon umano ng pang-aabuso ang gobyerno at naapektuhan maging ang human right situation sa bansa.


"What had happened in the previous administration is that we focused very much on enforcement. And because of that, it could be said there were abuses by certain elements of the government that has caused some concern in many quarters about the human rights situation in the Philippines," pahayag ni Marcos sa Forum ng Center for Strategic and International Studies sa Washington.


Gayunman, inihayag ni Marcos na wala siya sa posisyon para punahin ang mga pagpapalakad ng nakalipas na administrasyon.


"I’m in no position to assess the administration of anybody else. That is not proper for me to -- that’s not a proper role for me to take," diin ni Marcos.


Sa halip, pagtutuunan na lang aniya ng kanyang administrasyon ang pagtukoy sa mga sindikato na malaking bahagi sa galawan ng ilegal na droga sa bansa.


"The syndicates have become wealthier, more influential… but instead of going after everyone, we have tried to identify the key areas that we have to attend to so we can see a demolition of activity of drug syndicates,” pagtatapos ng chief executive.
