Sa paglabag sa tax code.. POGO at service provider sa Makati, sinuspinde ng BIR

Sinuspinde ang operasyon ng isang Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) at kanilang accredited service provider ng Bureau of Internal Revenue ngayong Miyerkules dahil sa bigong i-register ito sa ilalim ng ahensiya.


Sa pahayag ng BIR, ang Imperial Choice Limited at Aplus Accel Inc. ay ipinasara dahil sa kabiguan nitong irehistro sa required o kinakailangang Tax Code and RA No. 11590 o ang bagong POGO Law.


Sa isang operasyon ng task force POGO, isinara ang mga opisina ng Imperial at Aplus sa Makati.


“Their business operations will remain suspended and business establishments temporarily closed until the Bureau’s registration requirements and other pertinent tax regulations are complied with and the corresponding deficiency taxes and penalties are paid,” ayon kay BIR Deputy Commissioner for Operations Group Arnel SD. Guballa.


“We urge POGOs and all other taxpayers to please comply with their obligations. We will continue to strictly enforce the tax laws and raise the much-needed revenues for the government especially during this pandemic,” sabi pa ni Guballa.


Patuloy ang BIR sa paghahanap ng mga tax delinquencies na mga POGOs. Sa ilalim ng amendments hinggil sa tax laws ng bansa, kung saan naging epektibo noong Disyembre 3, 2021, ang non-registration ng POGOs sa BIR ay kinokonsidera bilang fraudulent act o pandaraya.
