Nasa kabuuang 105 indibidwal ang nahuli sa Metro Manila dahil sa paglabag ng mga ito sa May 8-9, 2022, election day liquor ban, ayon sa National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
“We have arrested 105 persons who violated our liquor ban implemented at the dawn of May 8 up to the midnight of May 9,” saad ni NCRPO spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Jenny Tecson sa Laging Handa briefing ngayong Sabado.
“It was considered a violation of election laws. Complaints were filed against them,” dagdag ng opisyal.
Ini-report din ni Tecson na walang nai-record ang NCRPO na anumang election-related na insidente ng karahasan sa NCR.
“Masasabi po natin na ito po ay naging very peaceful... peaceful national and local polls in NCR dahil wala po tayong naitala na election-related violent incident,” sabi ni Tecson.
Ayon kay Tecson, ang sinasabing Black Friday Protest na isinagawa ng iba’t ibang grupo sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) ay aniya, “orderly and peaceful.”
Kinondena ng mga raliyista ang umano’y lapses na ginawa ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa panahon ng eleksyon.
