NAHAHARAP ngayon ang aktor-pulitiko na si Richard Gomez sa disqualification case na isinampa ng Palompon Town mayor na si Ramon Oñate.
Si Gomez ay reelectionist sa Leyte (4th District) bilang congressman. Una siyang naging mayor ng Ormoc City bago naging representative.
Naghain si Mayor Oñate ng disqualification case laban kay Cong. Goma sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) headquarters, Palacio del Gobernador, Intramuros, Manila dahil sa alegasyon ng spreading misinformation, base sa isang artikulo na lumabas.
Ayon sa mayor’s legal counsel na si Emil Maranon, nag-ugat ang petition sa Facebook (FB) posts sa DYRG 101.5 FM Blue Radio page nu’ng March 6 and 7 kung saan naglalaman ito ng mga akusasyon laban sa electoral board member.
“The culpability of Mr. Gomez came in when he propagated the said malicious Facebook post,” ayon sa legal counsel ni Oñate.
Ayon pa kay Maranon, ishinare rin umano ng actor-politician sa kanyang FB page na “Richard ‘GOMA’ Gomez” ang nasabing alegasyon.
May caption pa umano si Gomez na “the town will have a grave and massive election cheating this coming May.”
Ayon kay Maranon, under Section 261 (z) (11) of the Omnibus Election Code, the spreading of false or alarming reports to the general public is an election offense.
Wala pang inilalabas na statement ang aktor-pulitiko hinggil sa disqualification case sa kanya.
