Ipinahayag ng Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) na mahigit sa 80 Japanese employers ang nagnanais na mag-hire ng mga Filipino skilled workers.
“The general sentiment among Japanese employers was that Filipino workers brightened up their workplaces and were highly reliable and trainable,” ani DMW Secretary Susan Ople sa isang new release ngayong Huwebes na aniya pa, mas gusto ng mga employers ang maraming Pinoy workers sa kanilang kumpanya.
Ginawa ni Ople ang statement matapos ang ginanap na consultation meeting sa mga Japanese employers na inorganisa ng Migrant Workers Office in Osaka.
Bahagi ang kalihim ng delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa Japan para sa working visit doon ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Ayon pa sa DMW chief, isang Japan desk ang bubuuin sa Office of the Secretary para agad na masubaybayan ang pangangailangan ng mga Japanese employers at Filipino trainees.
“We want to build stronger relations with Japanese employers and the Japanese government so that the Philippines can be the number one source of skilled workers in Japan,” saad ni Ople.
