Nasawi ang isang Pilipino sa kaguluhan sa pagitan ng Israel at Hamas, ayon kay Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo ngayong Huwebes.
Dahil dito, umabot na ang bilang ng mga namatay na Pilipino sa apat.
“I regret to inform the nation that we have received confirmation from the Israeli government of another Filipino casualty in Israel,” ani Manalo sa kanyang tweet.
“Out of respect for the wishes of the family, we shall be withholding details on the identity of the victim. But we have assured the family of the Government’s full support and assistance,” dagdag niya.
Ang namatay ay isang Pinay na caregiver na nasawi sa atake ng Hamas sa Israel noong Oktubre 7, ayon kay DFA Undersecretary Eduardo De Vega.
“She is one of the three missing Filipinos. Israel has confirmed. According to their record or testing, she is one of those who died due to the attack on October 7. She works in the Kibbutz as a caregiver,” sabi ni De Vega sa Radyo 630 ngayong Huwebes.
Dalawang iba pang Pilipino ang nananatiling nawawala, ayon kay De Vega.
