Sa edad na 24, Donny is considered one of the most sought-after actors of his generation.
Ang sikat na aktor ay anak nina Anthony Pangilinan and Maricel Laxa.
Bida si Donny sa ABS-CBN series na He’s Into Her noong 2021 at sa pagpapatuloy ng Season 2 ng series this year.
Si Donny lang ang nag-iisang kumakatawan sa showbiz at kasama nito sa listahan ng "Men Who Matter" na inilabas nu'ng Huwebes (June 16) ang mga bigating personalidad gaya ng business tycoon na si Lucio Tan, human rights lawyer na si Atty. Chel Diokno, University of the Philippines rookie na si Carl Tamayo, and award-winning chemist na si Dr. Fabian Dayrit.
