Magsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ang Department of Justice (DOJ) sa pagpatay sa 9 na aktibista sa isinagawang raid ng security forces sa Calabarzon noong Linggo.
Ayon sa awtoridad, nagsagawa ng simultaneous raid upang maghain ng search warrant sa mga aktibista sa ilang lugar sa Calabarzon na sangkot diumano sa kasong "illegal possession of firearms.”
Ayon naman kay Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra, ang insidente ay napapaloob sa hurisdiksiyon ng Administrative Order 35 Task Force at nakatakdang magsagawa ng pagpupulong sa ikatlo o ikaapat na linggo ng Marso.
Samantala, magsasagawa rin ng imbestigasyon ang Commission on Human Rights (CHR) sa insidente. Pahayag ni Spokeswoman Jacqueline de Guia,
"Activists are not necessarily terrorists and there should be a differentiation between those who take up arms and those who merely exercise their constitutional right to form and join associations, organizations as well as petition the government for redress of its grievances.”
