Pa-UAE, peke ang mga visa... 6 na babae, nadakip sa NAIA

Anim na hinihinalang biktima ng human trafficking na patungo sa United Arab Emirates (UAE) ang naharang sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), ayon sa Bureau of Immigration (BI).


Ang mga pasahero na lahat ay babae ay napigil sa Immigration departure area matapos na madiskubre ng BI na ang mga UAE visas na nakapaloob sa kanilang passports ay pineke.


“During primary inspection, they claimed that they were balik-manggagawa, or overseas Filipino workers merely returning to their old employers. They alleged to have been directly hired as domestic household workers, but they were unable to show any proof of such claim,” batay sa inilabas na statement ng BI ngayong Linggo.


Ayon pa sa bureau, ang mga nahuling passengers ay dinala na sa Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking para sa imbestigasyon habang sasampahan ng kaso ang kanilang mga recruiters.
