Arestado ang hepe ng Zamboanga City Police Station 9 at apat pang pulis sa kasong robbery-extortion ngayong Lunes.
Sa isinagawang operasyon, kinilala ni Philippine National Police - Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group (PNP-IMEG) Acting Director Police Colonel Thomas Frias, Jr. ang inarestong hepe ng pulisya na si Police Major Orlyn Leyte na officer-in-charge ng Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) Station 9.
Ang apat pang miyembro ng pulisya ay kinilalang sina Staff Sergeant Hegenio Salvador, Staff Sergeant Asser Abdulkadim, Corporal Ismael Sasapan Hassan at Corporal Juman Arabani.
Ayon sa awtoridad, inaresto si Leyte matapos tanggapin ang P90,000 boodle money sa isinagawang entrapment operation bandang alas-6:45 PM.
Isang small business owner diumano ang nagpaalam sa PNP-IMEG na kinontak siya ng mga suspek at sinabing nasa listahan siya ng drug watch ng presinto.
Kasunod nito ay hiningan siya diumano ng malaking halaga kapalit ng pagkatanggal ng kanyang pangalan sa drug watch.
Saad ni Frias, “They were first placed under surveillance after an owner of a small business sought our help in apprehending the accused. It turned out that the suspects contacted the complainant and informed her that her name was included in the list of drug personalities being targeted for neutralization.”
Nasa kustodiya na ng Police Regional Office 9 ang mga suspek at haharap sa kasong robbery-extortion at Violation ng RA 3019 Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act at RA 6713 Code of Conduct and Ethical Standard for Public Official and Employees.
