Nagsuspinde ng face-to-face classes ang ilang local government units (LGU) at mga institusyong pang-edukasyon dahil sa isang planadong welga sa transportasyon bukas.
Sinabi ng grupong transportasyon na Malayang Alyansa ng Bus Employees at Laborers (MANIBELA) nitong Sabado na itutuloy nito ang welga sa Lunes laban sa consolidation deadline para sa mga tradisyonal na dyipni.
Bilang paghahanda sa mga epekto ng kakulangan ng pampasaherong transportasyon, inianunsyo ng mga sumusunod na lugar ang pagkansela ng mga klase:
Local government units:
Santa Rosa, Laguna: face-to-face classes, all levels, public and private, shift to online/modular classes
Pampanga: face-to-face classes, Oct. 16 to 17, all levels, public and private, shift to online/modular/alternative learning delivery modality
Universities:
Adamson University - all levels to shift to synchronous online classes until October 17
De La Salle University - Manila campus: classes and work to shift to online mode
National University - Manila: shift to synchronous learning
National University-Nazareth School: shift to synchronous learning
San Beda University – Manila and Rizal campuses: Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED) to shift to online classes
University of the East - Caloocan and Manila campuses: shift to off-site synchronous, all levels
University of Santo Tomas: shift to Enriched Virtual Mode of Instruction with synchronous and asynchronous sessions, and remote work arrangements
