Naglabas na ng official statement ang kampo ng singer na si Hajji Alejandro ukol sa pagpanaw ng music icon nu’ng April 21 sa edad na 70.

Ang manager ni Rachel Alejandro, anak ni Hajji sa dating asawa na si Myrna Demauro, na si Girlie Rodis ang naglabas ng official statement sa pagpanaw ng music icon on behalf of the family.

Post ni Girlie sa Facebook (FB), “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad and Son, Angelito ‘Hajji’ T. Alejandro. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as our family grieves this tremendous loss. We appreciate your understanding and support during this difficult time.”

Nakasama ni Hajji sa kanyang huling sandali ang kanyang mga anak na sina Ali, Barni at Rachel.

Samantala, ang long-time girlfriend ni Hajji na si Alynna ay may mahabang post sa kanyang FB account kung saan inalala niya ang mga masasaya nilang alaala noon.

Simula ni Alynna sa kanyang FB post, “My love, We spent the last 8 days of your life together. I am grateful to your kids Ali and Rachel for reaching out to me. I have been waiting. I think of you every hour of every day.

“2 months ordeal with Metastatic Colon CA (cancer), Stage 4.

“You refused another trip to the hospital and chose palliative care instead, in the comforts of your home, in the company of people you love. You knew you were leaving us soon…

“We listened to our favorite songs and we both had tears in our eyes. Your precious voice has been impaired because CA had constricted your respiratory system as well. But I felt your love even without words. And despite the pain, restlessness and hallucinations, you tried to hold my hand...

“I whispered in your ear, ‘Go with God. I love you so much. See you in my dreams.’

“No more pain, love. Just pure bliss with our Heavenly Father.”
