Sumama ang Pilipinas sa Japan sa pagkokondena ng iniulat na ballistic missile launch ng North Korea ngayong Lunes.
Naglabas ng pahayag si Pangulong Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. ngayong Lunes, matapos ang iniulat na pagputok ng intercontinental ballistic missile ng North Korea patungo sa dagat ng Japan.
“We join Japan, together with the rest of the ASEAN (Association of the Southeast Asian Nations), in condemning the continued threat that the launching [of] ballistic missiles by the DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] represents,” sabi ni Marcos.
"The Philippines joins its voice to all our partners in peace in condemning this looming existential threat," dagdag niya.
Nagbigay ng pahayag ang pangulo sa kanyang talumpati sa Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) leaders meeting sa Prime Minister’s Office sa Tokyo, Japan, bilang bahagi ng 50th Commemorative ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Summit.
“As we speak on economic progress in our region, we found these aspirations on a peaceful and stable Indo-Pacific Region. So, such dangerous and provocative actions by the DPRK threaten and destabilize the region and the world,” aniya.
Naiulat na nagpaputok ang North Korea ng long-range ballistic missile, na umano'y nahulog sa karagatan sa kanluran ng Hokkaido, ayon sa coast guard ng Japan.
