Mananatili sa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) ang Metro Manila, Batangas, Iloilo City, Tacloban City, Lanao del Sur, Iligan, at Davao City hanggang sa December 31, ayon kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Pahayag ni P-Duterte, “Upon the recommendation of the Task Force sa COVID-19, the following areas will be under general community quarantine (GCQ) from December 1 to 31. “Let me explain. Alam mo kasi sa mga news, hapun-hapon, wala talagang social distancing o walang… ‘yung iba… they did not wear masks, ayaw nila at matigas ang ulo.
“Now, let me remind you that Europe and America are experiencing what they call… some say, a third wave na pagbalik, mas marami ang nagkasakit ngayon at namatay.
“Ito, this is a country which is rich na dapat may bakuna na can afford it, and yet, maraming nagkakasakit at namatay for the simple reason, matitigas ang ulo, eh, ayaw, eh.
“Sa Pilipinas, matitigas ang ulo. Pati itong mga critics, bakit marami? Eh, bakit hindi dumami, eh, lumabas na ang lahat. Bakit? Mapigilan mo? Mapakain ba ng gobyerno ang lahat?
“‘Yan ang istorya riyan. Kung hindi na maglabas ng bahay, can you sustain their lives all inside the house? Nobody’s buying food, hindi na kikita, walang trabaho, wala lahat, kaya napipilitang lumabas. It’s between hunger and… mamili ka riyan…”
Aniya, “Ang quarantine classification ay (sakop) ang National Capital Region, Batangas, Iloilo City, Tacloban City, Lanao del Sur, Iligan, Davao City.
“The rest of the country will be under modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) from December 1 to 31.”
