We’re hoping that they can finally bring our athletes sa bubble so that we can do the proper timing, distancing and the reactions, but in terms of fitness and conditioning, they are in tip top shape 100%. and I’m pretty sure about that cause I seen their meetings,” pahayag ni Lim, kahapon sa lingguhang TOPS: Usapang Sports online session na hatid ng GAB, Pagcor at PSC, kasama si international karateka Joane Orbon.

“We submitted a request to PSC, that our athletes must train abroad as early as January and February, in Istanbul all of the players,” saad ni Lim. “But since training partners are a little bit scarce in the Philippines, we need to have training partners abroad, who are world class karatekas. Yung training system na ginagawa nila maa-adopt natin and at the same time nasusukat na natin yung level natin kung saan tayo,” paliwanag ni Lim.

I’m rooting in having 1 or 2 athletes to get in the Olympics, but we have more chances with the triple J, (Junaa, Jamie and Joanne),” saad nito. “May chance na maka-train nila ito, and it give them a big boost for the team. So napakagandang exposure to them, at the same time training ground in preparation for the pre-qualifying.”
