Nagpositibo sa COVID-19 si Dumaguete City Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, batay sa Facebook post ng pamahalaang lungsod ngayong umaga, May 24.

Ayon sa alkalde, “I received a call from IPHO (Integrated Provincial Health Office) right after dinner that my test results are positive for the COVID-19 virus.”

Paliwanag pa niya, sumailalim siya sa RT-PCR test kahapon bilang requirement sa National Peace and Order Council meeting kasama si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kung saan Dumaguete City ang magiging host.

Aniya, “May 23, 2021, I took the RT-PCR test as a requirement for attendance in the National Peace and Order Council to be presided over by President Rodrigo Duterte on May 24, 2021 and hosted by the City of Dumaguete.”

Gayunman, inilahad niya sa Facebook post na matutuloy pa rin ang meeting kahit siya ay nagpositibo.

Sabi pa niya, “The meeting with President Duterte will push through as scheduled and Dumaguete City will be ably represented in said event.”

Sa ngayon ay asymptomatic ang lagay ni Remollo at kasalukuyan siyang naka-self-isolate.

“Regular functions of Government will continue in my physical absence as I will still be working while in isolation. I will also be continually abreast of the daily affairs of the City,” giit pa niya.
