IATF, puwedeng umapela sa "face shield sa ospital na lang" na utos ni PDu30

Ikinokonsiderang polisiya ang naging pahayag ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na kinakailangan ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa ibabaw ng face mask sa mga ospital na lamang sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic, ayon sa Malacañang.

“I can confirm what Senate President [Vicente] Sotto and Senator [Joel] Villanueva said that the President did say that the wearing of face shield should only be in hospitals,” ani Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque sa Palace briefing ngayong Huwebes.

“When the President has decided, that is the policy,” dagdag ni Roque. Gayunman, ayon kay Roque, ang Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), ang policy-making body ng gobyerno sa pagtugon sa COVID-19 ay maaaring umapela sa Pangulo sa desisyon nito.

“The President announced a new policy but this is without prejudice to the IATF appealing the decision of the President,” sabi ng kalihim.

Una namang binanggit ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na magdedesisyon ang IATF hinggil sa isyu sa gagawing pulong ngayong Huwebes ng hapon.
