Hirit kay P-Du30... May 9, ideklarang special non-working holiday

Hiniling ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na ideklara ang Mayo 9, 2022, bilang isang special non-working holiday dahil sa nakatakdang national at local elections.


Sa isang media briefing, sinabi ni Comelec Chairperson Saidamen Pangarungan na nilagdaan ng Comelec en banc ang Resolution No. 10784, na humihiling sa Pangulo para ideklara ang Mayo 9 na gawing special non-working holiday sa buong bansa.


“We signed resolution no. 10784 requesting President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to declare May 9, 2022 a special non-working holiday all throughout the country in connection with the national and local elections,” saad ni Pangarungan.


Kaugnay nito, nauna nang isinagawa ang local absentee voting (LAV) para sa mga indibidwal na naka-duty sa Mayo 9, simula nitong Miyerkules, Abril 27 at tatagal hanggang Biyernes, Abril 29.


Ayon sa Comelec, may kabuuang 84,357 botante ang pinayagang mag-avail ng local absentee voting na tatagal hanggang bukas, Abril 29.
