Higit 149K violators sa ECQ sa MM, sinita, pinagmulta

Umabot sa mahigit 149,000 violators ang naitala ng Philippine National Police (PNP) sa Metro Manila nang isailalim ang rehiyon sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).


Ayon kay Chief Police General Guillermo T. Eleazar noong Sabado, base sa datos ng Joint Task Force COVID Shield, simula noong August 6 hanggang Agosto 20, may 149,963 violators sa mga ipinatutupad na quarantine protocols sa Metro Manila ang napagmulta, nasita at pinag-community service at kabilang umano sa mga ito ay ang mga non-authorized persons outside of residence (APORs). Umabot sa 98,971 violators ang nasita, 43,328 ang pinagmulta at, 7,664 naman ang pinag-community service sa Metro Manila, ayon sa PNP.


Saad pa ng PNP, “In Metro Manila, our Task Force sanctioned 100,946 violators for minimum public health standards (MPHS) (e.g. not wearing/improper wearing of facemask, face shield, mass gathering, non-observance of social/physical distancing, and RA 11332 otherwise known as the ‘Law on Reporting of Communicable Diseases’) while 40,705 violators were accosted in relation to the implementation of uniform curfew hours. “Moreover, a total of 8,312 were documented claiming to be authorized persons outside of residence or essential persons but were not able to show proof hence, were denied entry in Metro Manila. By average, a total of 9,998 ECQ violators were arrested each day for the past two weeks.”
