Iminungkahi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na gamitin sa house-to-house vaccination drive ang mga bakunang malapit nang ma-expire.
Sa kanyang weekly “Talk to the People” briefing nitong Martes, sinabi ng pangulo na ang mga naturang bakuna ay hindi excess orders. Lahat ng ito ay ready to be used, at maraming Pilipino ang ayaw lamang magpabakuna.
“If there are many Filipinos who refuse to be vaccinated, it’s not the government’s fault for buying [vaccines] commensurate to the number of Filipinos we hoped to be vaccinated,” ani Duterte.
“The vaccines are here and ready to be utilized just in case a good number of the Filipinos remaining and refusing to be vaccinated would want them. Otherwise, there’s nothing we can do,” dagdag niya. “The most we can do is a last-minute program. We embark on a program to deliver the vaccines house-to-house in the countryside.”
Kasunod nito ay hinimok ng pangulo ang New People’s Army na ‘wag galawin ang healthcare workers na magsasagawa ng vaccination drive.
