Frontline workers, bagong lahi ng mga bayani – P-Duterte

Nagbigay ng parangal si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga frontline workers sa gitna ng patuloy na pakikipaglaban ng mga ito kontra-COVID-19, na tinawag niyang modern day heroes kasabay ng kanyang mensahe para sa pagdiriwang ng National Heroes’ Day ngayong Lunes.

Ayon kay Pangulong Duterte, ang mga bagong lahi ng mga bayani ay mga health workers, uniformed personnel, government employees, at frontliners mula sa mga essential industries.

“For selflessly risking their lives to ensure the survival of our society, I can confidently say they have more than earned their rightful place in the pedestal of heroes,” ani P-Duterte.

“Let us consecrate this day not just as a memorial to their extraordinary heroism, but as enduring testament to our inherent capacity to rise above self-interest to fight for a cause far greater than our own,” dagdag niya.

Ngayong Lunes nang umaga, isinagawa ni Pangulong Duterte ang paggunita ng National Heroes’ Day sa Fort Bonifacio sa Taguig City.

Sa naturang ceremony, pinarangalan ng Punong Ehekutibo ang mga natatanging sakripisyong ginawa ng ating mga ninuno upang ipaglaban ang ating kalayaan at demokrasya.

“May we all learn from the valiant example of the past and present heroes and build on them to achieve a stronger future for all,” sabi pa ni P-Duterte.
