Magpapamigay ng COVID-19 home care kit ang Department of Health para sa Covid patients, ayon sa ahensiya nitong Biyernes.
Ang “Kalinga Kit” ay maglalaman ng limang pirasong face masks, alcohol, thermometer, paracetamol, at lagundi, ayon kay DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III.
“We have already close to 35,000 put together so we’ll start distributing them. But we’re also asking well-meaning companies to help us, to co-brand DOH with them to provide home kits,” pahayag ni Duque sa isang interview.
Noong April 2021, sinabi ng ahensiya na sila ay nagde-develop ng home care package para sa COVID-19 patients, na magkakaroon ng financing mechanism.
Ang Philippine Health Insurance Corp. ay mayroong COVID-19 Home Isolation Benefit Package, na puwedeng i-avail ng asymptomatic at mild cases.
Mayroong coverage ang serbisyong ito na nagkakahalagang P5,917 per claim at may kasamang minimum 10 days consultations,
daily monitoring ng mga pasyente sa pamamagitan ng teleconsultation, at provision ng home isolation kit.
Kabilang din sa package ang patient education and referral sa higher-level faclity, kung kinakailangan.
Samantala, sinabi rin ni Duque na gumagawa na sila ng aksiyon upang mapababa ang presyo ng COVID-19 tests.
“We’ll review again because we need to scope the market. We will see more and more players, testing kit manufacturers in the market. I’m sure this is going to push the prices down,” aniya.
