So touching naman ang FB post ni Direk Perci Intalan nitong pagpasok ng New Year 2023 na tipong may konek sa paghihiwalay nila ng kanyang longtime partner na si Direk Jun Lana.
The following ay ang FB post ng producer ng IdeaFirst company na gumawa ng mga blockbuster films tulad ng Die Beautiful ni Paolo Ballesteros, Unforgettable ni Sarah Geronimo at Gameboys nina Elijah Canlas at Kokoy de Santos…
"It’s been over a year now since I was making it thru each day praying and taking antidepressants my psychiatrist prescribed. At the time, I felt there was barely any light at the end of this long tunnel.
"But with little steps, I kept going. Each day can be good or can be bad. There’s work to do, some fulfilling, some disheartening. People surprise you, delight you, or disappoint you. But you keep going. Even when life sometimes rolls the dice and you have to take a few steps back and start again. It was tough but I learned the hard way that the key is to breathe, rest, but do not stop. Even a small step is a shift in perspective."
Patuloy niya, "Miracles don’t happen overnight and there is no magic pill. But gradually I made my way. I started weaning myself from the antidepressants — very slowly because I needed my system to adjust. My prayers slowly shifted from asking to thanking. And I learned to appreciate myself, forgive myself, love myself.
"Today, I am clearing a lot of stuff in my room and I am packing these pills and novena booklet away now. I won’t say the journey is done. The dice still rolls and I may have to go back and start over from whatever point. But I know now it’s not impossible. I won’t say I’m completely in the light, but I do see more of it now.
"I am sharing this because some of you may be going thru it too. Be patient with yourself. Pray.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. Personal help or professional help. But be patient with people around you too. We all have our personal battles. Rest. Breathe. But keep going.
Through good and bad. The world turns regardless. The universe unfolds regardless. Let life reveal its many surprises for you. You made it this far, you can always take it one step further — and if that’s all you can do today, that still takes you closer to your light."
Oh, ha?! Wala tayong kaalam-alam na may pinagdaraanan pala si Direk Perci.
Thank you for sharing this, Direk Perci Intalan. For sure, marami ang makaka-relate rito lalo na 'yung mga may pinagdaraanan sa kani-kanilang love life or maging sa pamilya at trabaho or even sa kani-kanilang pangarap sa buhay.
Nag-text si yours truly kay Direk Perci saying... "I'm glad naka-recover ka na from depression," and even added kung okay na uli sila ni Direk Jun Lana, as in kung nagkabalikan na sila as partners in reel and real life?
Heto ang naging reply niya sa amin, "Happy New Year, Tita Mercy! Thank you po. Sana po, kayo rin, okay naman. Totoo nga po ang depression kahit sino at kahit kailan talaga, puwedeng tamaan.
Yakap po nang mahigpit, Tita!"
At sa status ng relasyon nila ni Direk Jun Lana, "Kami po ni Jun, okay naman kami.
Magkasama sa bahay kasama ng mga anak namin at magkasama kami sa IdeaFirst. Best friends po kami and happy na po kami sa setup namin na ito. Hindi man kami talaga nagkabalikan, hindi naman kami magkalayo sa buhay, hehe!"
Huwoowww! That's good to hear, ha? Malay natin, dahil magkasama pa rin naman pala sila sa bahay, eh, may reconciliation pang maganap.
Maganda ang partnership nina Direk Perci at Direk Jun at harinawang magkasundo na sila for the betterment of their showbiz career.
At kung may natitira pa silang love and fe...elings to one another, yes, why not? Go, go gowwww!
