Inamin na ni Diego Loyzaga na hindi na sila magkasama ni Alexis Suapengco, ina ng anak niyang si Hailey na mag-iisang taon sa Mayo.
Sa panayam sa aktor ni Ogie Diaz sa vlog nitong Ogie Diaz Inspires na in-upload kamakailan, sinabi ni Diego na co-parenting sila ni Alexis sa anak nila at sinigurado rin nito na lagi siyang present sa buhay ng anak nila.
Matatandaang nagkaroon ng gusot sa pagitan nina Diego at Alexis kaya nag-rant ang huli sa social media.
Say ni Alexis, “SO MY BABY DADDY @diegoloyzaga decided to kick me out and his baby out of his house so this girl can come over.”
Naitanong ni Ogie kung paano nagkabati sina Diego at Alexis.
“Nag-usap kami, when she posted it, I posted din kaagad na wala akong idine-deny kasi I have to explain everything, really? Maniniwala pa ba (sa akin) ang mga tao kung magpapaliwanag pa ako? Better sabihin ko na lang, whatever is said is said. I can neither deny or confirm these accusations. Better na I just leave it as it is.
"Basta ang masasabi ko lang, ang baby ko, maayos siya. That’s all I care about. You can look at me, the people can judge me if they want and say that ‘Diego is this, Diego’s this, Diego’s that whatever,’ I don’t care. At the end of the day, inaalagaan ko ang baby ko. Du’n, wala kang masasabi sa akin,” kuwento ng actor.
At dahil sa nangyaring iyon ay marami ang humusga kay Diego na mga netizens na sinabihan siya ng kung anu-ano.
Katwiran niya’y, “I’d rather be quiet. Life goes on, the world still spins, the world move on and there’s only so much you can do.
“May mali naman talaga kasi ako, meron siyang sinet na rule, I broke that rule and not only once siguro, twice or three times pa. Can you blame the woman for having emotions and reacting out of her emotions? No! Nagkamali ako, eh. Lesson I learned is… well, keep your promises. That’s number 1. I should kept my promise and I will always be understanding of Lex. She’s the mother of my child,” pag-amin ng binatang-ama.
Dagdag pa nito, “Being a father is one of the things I have to sustain, I have to keep the bar high. Be a good example kumbaga.”
Bilang binatang-ama ay ano ang maipapayo ni Diego sa mga tulad niya?
“First of all, I speak for everybody who is in my age bracket. So, from early 20s bago mag-30’s or even young 30’s is one thing that you and me can both agree with.
“Get your money right, get your finances right. I know in this world, we shouldn’t look at the material things, pero maging totoo tayo, maging prangkahan, make sure na you have a job, you’re financially stable before you bring somebody into this world na aasa sa iyo.
“That’s the number one because ‘yang batang ‘yan, hindi niya pinili na isilang siya sa mundo. Ikaw ang nag-decide na dalhin siya rito sa mundo natin, so you have all the responsibility now to provide for that child, for that daughter, for that son.
“It will never be the child’s fault or to blame. Even if you’re not deciding on having a kid yet, get your money right first.
“All the boys, my brothers and sisters, get your money right first. Ako nga, eh, kung puwede lang payuhan ang sarili ko na mas batang ako na ‘wag ka munang mag-isip ng pag-ibig o mga relasyon na ‘yan, please! Ayusin mo muna ‘yung (buhay mo), haha! Kung puwede lang, ‘no? Get a good job, get a good sahod na trabaho, mag-ipon ka, don’t go waste your money doing stupid things. Kasi ang kasabihan, ang pagiging parent, you’re never really ready,” say ng actor.
Samantala, Australian citizen si Hailey pero kung si Diego ang masusunod ay gusto niyang dito muna mag-aral ang anak para matutunan nito ang kulturang Pinoy.
“I’d rather she grows up and her root is Filipino and then she goes abroad and study in a university there or maybe high school and I wanted her to be old enough to be able to distinguish the difference between a family of ours, Filipino, and up there to make the right choices.
“It took me a long time to understand Filipinos when I came here and showbiz, hindi ko maintindihan. Ang dami kong hindi maintindihan kaya I want her to understand us muna since she is a Filipino and when she goes abroad, she also respects ‘yung dynamics doon and also within her, alam niya rin na isa siyang Filipina,” esplika ng proud dad ni Hailey.
