Apektado ng lockdown at kalamidad... Ayudang pagkain, sapat pa rin — DSWD

Tiniyak ng Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sa publiko na sapat ang resources ng ahensiya para makapagbigay ng food packs sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng COVID-19 granular lockdown, at para sa apektado ng kalamidad.


Ayon kay DSWD spokesperson Glenda Relova, nakapagpamahagi na ang ahensiya ng 45,775 family food packs sa mga lugar na apektado ng granular lockdown hanggang nitong Oktubre.


“We have enough funds for this in the event that this policy of granular lockdown is rolled out nationwide and in areas affected by typhoons,” ani Relova sa Laging Handa briefing ngayong Huwebes.


“We have P1-billion standby funds, with 138 million food packs in central and regional offices also on standby. There are around 11 local government units which asked us to assist them in providing food packs, including Pasay, Pateros, Quezon City, San Juan, Caloocan City, Makati City, Mandaluyong City, Manila City and Parañaque City,” dagdag ng kalihim.


Sa ipinatutupad na granular lockdown sa mga lugar kung saan may community transmission ng COVID-19, ipinagbabawal ang mga indibidwal na lumabas ng bahay, kabilang na rito ang pagbili ng mga essentials gaya ng pagkain at medisina.


Gayunman, ang granular lockdown policy ay nananatili pa rin na pilot implementation sa Metro Manila, na epicenter pandemya ng COVID-19.
