Bibisita si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Japan itong darating na Pebrero.
Sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos sa mga reporters na si Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida ang mismong nagpahayag ng imbitasyon sa ginanap nilang meeting sa sidelines ng United Nations General Assembly sa New York, USA, noong Setyembre.
“I immediately accepted,” sabi ng Pangulo bago umuwi ng Manila matapos ang 2-araw na state visit sa China.
Ayon kay Pangulong Marcos, ang kanyang Japan trip ay gagawin makaraan ang nakaiskedyul niyang attendance sa isang economic forum sa Davos, Switzerland, nitong huling linggo ng Enero.
“We are now talking to the Japanese authorities, to Japanese foreign service as to when will be the most suitable time for me to come,” sabi ng Chief Executive.
“I think the tentative date is around the second week of February,” dagdag ni P-BBM.
Nang tanungin siya hinggil sa agenda ng kanyang state visit sa Japan, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na sesentro ito sa economic security ng mga bansa.
“The agenda will be a continued discussion of what we started in New York, which essentially centers around economic security,” saad ni Pangulong Marcos.
“The Japanese have many concerns about regional security, and the Philippines is seen as an important part of maintaining that security in partnership with friends and partners like Japan and the other countries in the Indo-Pacific and Asia-Pacific regions,” sabi ng Pangulo.
