Anim na miyembro ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) ang sumuko sa mga awtoridad sa Maguindanao nitong Biyernes nang umaga.
Ayon kay Lt. Gen. Corleto Vinluan, Jr., commander ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Mindanao Command, kinilala ang mga ito na sina Badtogan Amino a.k.a Alas Amino/Boy Alas (sub-group lider ng Bungos Faction), Rasid Sangkali, Nasrudin Talib, Mohammad Abdul Samad, Khulo Amino at Aladin Gaapar na sumuko sa 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion.
Isinuko rin ng mga ito ang isang 81mm mortar na may base plate, isang modified M14, isang .50-caliber Barret at dalawang 7.62mm sniper rifle.
Ibinahagi naman ni Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy, Joint Task Force Commander na isa lamang ito sa matagumpay na resulta ng kampanya na maging mapayapa ang central Mindanao.
“Likewise, this is also attributable to the good governance of the local chief executives and to the collaborative efforts of the military, other security agencies, the different stakeholders, and the peace-loving people of Maguindanao,” dagdag ni Vinluan.
Sa ngayon, mayroon nang 191 opisyal at miyembro ng BIFF ang sumuko simula pa noong Enero.
