Dahil na rin sa naging deklarasyon ng State of Public Health Emergency ng gobyerno sanhi ng nakaaalarmang banta ng novel coronavirus, nag-anunsiyo na ang National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Management Committee (ManCom) ng “indefinite suspension” na maaaring mauwi sa “outright termination” ng lahat ng natitira pa nilang mga sports events para sa Season 95.
“Due to the declaration of the Department of Health of Red Alert Sub-Level 1 and the guidance issued by the Department of Education that concerns gatherings or out-of-school activities, all NCAA activities are hereby suspended until further notice,” ayon sa inilabas na ManCom statement noong Lunes.
“The Policy Board is set to meet soon to discuss the possibility of postponing the games or canceling (altogether) all games. The action of the NCAA is for the safety and welfare of the students, the athletes, the fans, and the officials.”
May mga nalalabi pang mga juniors at seniors divisions tournaments ang liga at kasalukuyang nakabitin dahil sa nauna nang postponement na kanilang ginawa simula noong Pebrero 14. Kaugnay ng pinakabagong kaganapang ito, ang unang itinakda ng pamunuan ng liga na pagpapatuloy sana ng lahat ng kanilang mga events sa darating na Lunes-Marso 16 ay hindi na matutuloy.
