2 attack helicopters mula Turkey, tinanggap ng ‘Pinas

Pinangunahan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ngayong Biyernes ang ceremonial blessing ng dalawang T-129 attack helicopters na procured ng gobyerno mula sa Republic of Turkey.


Ayon sa Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), ang 2 Turkish-made “Atak” helicopters ang pinakabago na karagdagang air assets ng bansa sa ilalim ng Philippine Air Force (PAF) modernization program.


Noong Hulyo, binanggit ni Pangulong Marcos sa PAF na magbibigay ang gobyerno sa ahensiya ng aniya, “more state-of-the-art fighter planes and armed with more firepower.”


“Nagpasalamat ang Pangulo sa Turkish Aerospace Industries at sa Turkish government bilang katuwang ng bansa sa pagpapalakas ng PAF,” saad ng OPS.


Kasamang dumalo ni Pangulong Marcos sa event si Department of National Defense (DND) chief Jose Faustino.
