Undecided pa si Christopher de Leon kung tatanggapin niya ang pelikulang pagsasamahan nilang muli ng Star for All Seasons na si Vilma Santos.

Ayon kay Boyet, “Well, ano, under negotiation na. But so far, binubuo ‘yung material and we have to read the material first, kung talagang babagay sa amin at our age.”

Kailangan daw i-adjust na ‘yung story sa kanilang edad.

“You know, hindi na ‘yung ano, parang mga teenager or ‘yung mga romantic. It’s an adult film, an adult film and a little romantic. But it’s all about love,” kuwento ni Boyet nu’ng makausap namin after ng Q&A sa grand mediacon ng FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

Sa Kyoto, Japan kukunan ang entire movie ni Ate Vi next month. Kapag tinanggap ni Boyet ang movie, almost a month din siyang ‘di makakapag-taping sa Batang Quiapo.

“Alam na nila,” sabi ni Boyet.

“But the shoot in Kyoto, kung tuloy ‘to, we haven’t signed anything yet. We have to…. I have to work on the material first.

“I have to scrutinize para bumagay naman sa amin. Hindi ‘yung parang love story ng elder people, you know. And then, medyo kailangan, it has to be, can also cater sa mga young ones,” paliwanag pa niya.

Samantala, ikinuwento ni Boyet ang proseso ng pagkuha sa kanya para mapasama sa main cast ng Batang Quiapo na magsisimula na ngayong Lunes, February 13, sa Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC at Kapamilya Online Live.

Ang bida, director at producer ng Batang Quiapo na si Coco Martin ang personal na tumawag at nagkumbinse kay Boyet para tanggapin ang bagong serye ng Hari ng Primetime.

“It was like uh, several months ago, couple of months ago, Coco called. Tinawagan niya ako and he offered me this one, Batang Quiapo.

“Of course, wow! Sabi ko, this will be an honor to work with uh, ang magiging kasama of course, si Madam Charo (Santos) and the rest. Sinabi niya ‘yung casting and all that.

“More often, ang priority ko is uh, the project itself, my role… 'What is the role? What is the character?' 'Yun ang ano ko, eh. Uh, mabilis ‘yan, na-explain agad sa akin kung ano ‘yung gusto niya nu’ng tumawag siya.

“So, he knows really what he wanted. Like, he wants me to play this role and nakuha ko kaagad. And, this is going to be really something big, ‘no? It’s going to be something big just like, oh well, (FPJ’s Ang) Probinsyano, everybody wanted to be you know, part of it.

“But this one like, I was a guess in Probinsyano one time. I was the father of Anne Curtis. I played gun runner then.

“But nu’ng itinawag niya ito sa akin that I’m going to be one of the main cast of Batang Quiapo, this show, this series, wow! Coco Martin calling me up and then telling you the whole thing, the whole process and all that. I said yes right away.”

Binigyang-diin ni Christopher na laging priority niya sa pagtanggap ng offer ay ang kuwento at ang karakter na gagampanan niya.

“And then now, he tells me that I will be like the big gangster, the big boss,” pagre-reveal niya ng kanyang role sa Batang Quiapo.

“Well, so far, nag-shoot na ako ng mga scenes namin like a couple of days ago.

“Ako na ‘yung head ng bilangguan. Ako na ‘yung nagpapalakad ng mga illegal na activities inside the jail.

“So, and then, ayoko na munang iistorya but… I become a big gangster of a crime syndicate. So, I play the big boss. So, I said yes right away,” tuluy-tuloy na tsika ni Boyet.

Speaking of Vilma Santos, inabot nang tatlong oras ang anniversary special ng Star For All Seasons at host ng show na si King of Talk Boy Abunda noong Huwebes.

Eh, nagsama ba naman ang dalawang matsika kaya no wonder na aabutin talaga sila

nang tatlong oras.

Actually, kulang pa ‘yung mahigit tatlong oras sa haba ng itinakbo ng special para talakayin ang showbiz and political career ni Ate Vi.

Maraming kuwento si Ate Vi kay Kuya Boy sa bawat pelikulang ginawa niya noon. Sa ganda ng mga tsika ni Ate Vi, nanghihinayang ang producer na putulin at itapon lang ang mga napag-usapan during the special.

Kaya nagdesisyon ang executive producer ng special na si Chit Guerrero at ang ABS-CBN na gawing two-part ang anniversary special ni Ate Vi na pinamagatang Anim na Dekada….

Humingi ng suportang pinansiyal si KC Concepcion para makumpleto na ang post-production ng kauna-unahan niyang international film project titled Asian Persuasion.

Tapos na raw ang actual filming ng movie at nasa post-production na dapat sila. Hindi nila matapus-tapos ang kabuuan ng post-prod dahil kapos na sa budget.

Sa kanyang Instagram post kahapon ay ipinost ni KC ang video na naglalaman ng ilang behind-the-scenes pictures and videos while shooting the film in New York, US nitong later part ng second quarter of this year.

Habang ipinapakita ang ilang BTS ay ikinukuwento ng mga producers ng Asian Persuasion na sina Jhett Tolentino at Mike Ang ang kuwento ng pelikula.

Si Jhett ay isang Tony award-winning director. Siya ang director ng movie habang si Mike ang sumulat ng kuwento.

“For a low-budget and independent film, this has been a challenge in making this journey to pandemic. When one of the actors contracted COVID, we had to pause for 12 days. That delay cost us at least $100K that we don’t have on the budget,” pahayag ng Asian Persuasion

director.

Kaya naman may-I-post si KC ng video para manawagan sa mga gustong i-finance at mag-donate para sa pagkumpleto ng movie.
