P1.2 B halaga ng shabu, winasak ng PDEA

Higit sa 912 kilograms na aabot sa mahigit P1.295 bilyong halaga ng iba't ibang klase ng droga ang winasak ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) sa Trece Martires City, Cavite, ngayong Miyerkules.

Sa isang pahayag ng PDEA, ang mga drug evidence ay sinira sa pamamagitan ng thermal decomposition na nasa pasilidad ng Integrated Waste Management, Inc. (IWMI). Ayon sa PDEA, ang thermal decomposition o thermolysis ang siyang sisira sa lahat ng chemical compounds dahil sa init na mayroon ito.

Sa temperaturang 1,000 degrees centigrade, lahat ng mapanganib na droga na dadaan dito ay tuluyang made-decompose o mawawasak.

Kabilang sa mga mapanganib na droga na kanilang sinira ay methamphetamine hydrochloride o shabu, toluene, marijuana, cocaine, ecstasy at iba pa. Sa report ng PDEA Laboratory Service, inilabas ang halaga ng bawat ilegal na droga na kanilang sinira:

• 133,134.40 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P905,313,916.00

• 102,330 ml of liquid shabu worth P208,753,200.00

• 10.10 grams of toluene worth P1,066.16

• 504,198.96 grams of marijuana worth P60,503,863.34

• 3,585.40 grams of cocaine worth P19,002,638.55

• 4,131.34 grams of MDMA worth P28,319,696.77

• 209,584.30 grams of pseudoephedrine worth P72,432,334.08

• 122.48 grams of ephedrine worth P612,400.00

• 30.26 grams of diazepam worth P2,345.15

• 65.93 grams of nitrazepam worth P1,401.10

• 30.23 grams of alprazolam worth P642.39

• 49.69 grams of methylephedrine worth P79,504

• 4.50 grams of ketamine worth P27,346.50

• 350 ml of GBL

• 6,090.50 grams of opium

• 0.42 grams of methylphenidate

• 50,000 grams of expired medicines

Pinuri naman ni PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva ang iba't ibang Regional Trial Courts branches dahil sa walang humpay nilang pag-prosecute at disposisyon sa mga drug cases, kung saan nagresulta ito sa agarang pagsira nila ng mga drug evidence.

“We want to assure the public that all seized illegal drugs under the custody of PDEA will all be destroyed, thus allaying fears of recycling,” ani Villanueva.

Sinabi pa ng PDEA, ang ginawang pagsira sa mapanganib na droga ay bilang pagsunod sa guidelines na nakasaad sa Section 21, Article II ng Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, at Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 1, Series of 2002. Dumalo rin sa naturang ceremony ang mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan, Philippine National Police, Department of Justice, Department of the Interior and Local Government, non-government organizations, at mga miyembro ng media.

Lalabag sa guidelines sa operasyon ng PNP at PDEA, lagot!

Mahaharap sa kaukulang parusa ang mga pulis at agents na mabibigong sumunod sa ilalatag na uniform guidelines para sa mga operasyon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency at Philippine National Police (PNP).

Ayon kay PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar ngayong Lunes, “I would like to stress that those who will not follow the unified rules will face sanctions.” Layon ng PDEA-PNP unified operation guidelines na maiwasan ang anumang susunod pang misencounter at miscoordination sa lahat ng law enforcers.

Binuo ang nasabing guidelines matapos ang fatal shootout sa pagitan ng mga operatiba ng PNP at PDEA sa isang mall sa Commonwealth, Quezon City noong February 24. Kaparehong insidente rin ang nangyari sa Fairview, QC nitong May.

Ayon kay PDEA Director General Wilkins Villanueva, ang unified operational guidelines ay makukumpleto bago matapos ang buwan.

Nagbigay na rin ng direktiba si Eleazar sa mga police unit commanders na siguruhing naipaliwanag nang mabuti sa mga tauhan at dapat na magkaroon ng epektibong superbisyon upang matiyak na ang kanilang personnel ay masusunod ang naturang guidelines.

“Once these unified operating guidelines are finalized and released to our men on the ground, I need the efficient supervision by our ground commanders to ensure that the rules are strictly followed by our operatives,” sabi ni Eleazar.

6 drug informants, binigyan ng P700K ng PDEA

Pinagkalooban ng monetary rewards na nagkakahalagang P200,000 hanggang P700,000 ang 6 na drug informants ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) noong Lunes.

Ayon sa PDEA, ang pagbibigay ng reward sa mga drug informants ay upang mahikayat ang publiko na makiisa sa pagbibigay ng impormasyon na makatutulong sa mga anti-drug operations ng awtoridad.

Sakop din umano ng Dangerous Drugs Board under Regulation No. 5 Series of 2003 ang naturang reward system.

Pahayag pa ni PDEA Deputy Director General for Operation Gregorio R. Pimentel, “I firmly believe that the information that you have shared with us is not only because of your need for monetary reward rather the exasperation from the lingering drug problem led you to be involved in government’s anti-illegal drug problem.”
