Inirekomenda ni Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte sa mga business establishments na i-comply sa national government ang COVID-19 Safety Seal certification na magsisilbing katibayan na sumusunod sila sa minimum health protocols laban sa virus.

Ayon pa kay Belmonte, "We hope our businesses will take this as an opportunity to prove that they carry out the necessary measures to ensure the safety of their customers. And in turn, we expect that this will increase customer confidence and positively affect everyone's livelihood and our economy."

Dagdag nito, puwedeng mag-apply o kumuha ng Safety Seal certification sa lokal na pamahalaan at kapag nagawaran na ng certificate ang business owner ay puwede niya iyong i-display sa kanyang tindahan o kainan.

Nakasaad din sa Executive Order No. 13 Series of 2021 ang bawat mall, wet markets, retail stores, restaurants, fast food, coffee shops, karinderya, bangko, pawnshops, money changers, remittance centers, car washes at laundry service centers na hinihikayat na mag-apply ng Safety Seal certification. Kasama rin dito ang mga pasyalan katulad ng art galleries, libraries, museums, zoos, sports centers, gyms, spas, tutorial, testing at review centers, pati ang sinehan at gaming arcades.

Sa ngayon ay SM City North EDSA ang kauna-unahang shopping mall sa Quezon City na nag-display ng Safety Seal certification.

Ang pagdidikit nito ay pinangunahan ni Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez.

Kasama rin sa launching ng Safety Seal certification sa SM North sina Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya at DTI Undersecretary Ireneo Vizmonte.
