Barko nagliyab, 2 crew napuruhan

Rumesponde ang Philippine Coast Guard upang sagipin ang mga crew members matapos magliyab ang isang barko malapit sa Shell Island, Cebu City ngayong Lunes.

Ayon sa ulat, nagliyab ang vessel engine room ng MTUG Super Shuttle 3 bandang alas-3:30 AM.

Ipinadala ng PCG ang BRP Suluan (MRRV-4406) upang apulahin ang apoy at nasagip ang limang crew members at dalawa sa mga ito ang nagtamo ng second degree burns.

Pahayag ng PCG, “They were turned-over to a waiting PCG ambulance at Pier 3, Cebu City that swiftly transported the victims to the nearest hospital for medical assistance.

“Meanwhile, PCG firefighting team onboard BRP Suluan (MRRV-4406) penetrated the engine compartment of the vessel to stop the engine, conduct boundary cooling, and combat the fire onboard.”

Saad ng PCG, “The team declared fire was under control at around 4:30 AM and subsequently declared fire out at around 5:05 AM.”

“At around 05:30 a.m., MTUG Super Shuttle 3 was safely towed by MTUG TYL to Ouano Wharf, Mandaue City for further assistance.”

Ilang oras matapos makoronahan ang bagong Miss Universe-Philippines 2020 ngayong Linggo nang umaga, October 25, nagkaroon ng cryptic posts si Miss Taguig Sandra Lemonon sa kanyang social media account.

Si Rabiya Mateo ng Iloilo City ang itinanghal na Miss Universe Philippines 2020 sa coronation na ginanap sa Baguio City Country Club, Baguio City.

First runner-up naman si Ysabella Ysmael at 2nd runner-up si Miss Quezon City Michelle Gumabao.

Ang representante naman ng Bohol na si Pauline Amelinckx ang itinanghal na 3rd runner-up at si Kimberly “Billie” Hakenson ng Cavite ang 4th runner-up.

Bago ang big event, nag-post si Lemonon sa kanyang Instagram Stories ng maikling video kung saan makikita ang paa ng isang babae habang naglalakad na may caption na “Get ready love, tomorrow I will be announcing big news, it’s time to be honest & speak facts.”

Kasunod nito, after ng coronation, post ulit niya sa IG Stories, “(Eye emoji) the truth always comes out (frying pan emoji).

“It’s just about timing (heart emoji),” aniya pa.

“Karma is real soon. Because we deserve justice.”

Batangas mayor na nagpositibo sa COVID-19, pumanaw na

Pumanaw na ang alkalde ng Lian, Batangas na si Mayor Isagani Bolompo, 68, na nagpositibo sa COVID-19 noong Sabado nang gabi sa Lung Center of the Philippines, Quezon City.

Si Bolompo ay unang isinugod sa Western Medical Center, Balayan noong October 17 kung saan siya tinest sa COVID-19.

Ayon naman kay Batangas health chief Rosvilinda Ozaeta, “Since last week, contact tracing by the local government (of Lian) had been going on.”

Samantala, wala pang inilalabas na hospital record na nagsasaad ng dahilan ng pagkamatay ni Bolompo.

Si Bolompo ay isang medical doctor bago siya nagsilbing mayor ng Lian.
