Inirekomenda ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) ngayong Lunes na isailalim ang buong Luzon sa state of calamity dahil sa naging epekto ng pananalasa ng sunud-sunod na bagyo.
Saad ni NDRRMC Executive Director Undersecretary Ricardo Jalad, “It was approved during the meeting the recommendation for President Rodrigo Duterte to place under state of calamity the entire Luzon to address the impacts of the latest typhoons that hit the country.
“It was also agreed during the meeting to convene a technical working group of the joint prevention, mitigation, and preparedness clusters of the NDRRMC to assess the current dam management.”
Napagkasunduan ng ilang ahensiya ng pamahalaan kabilang na ang NDRRMC na irekomenda kay P-Duterte ang pagsasailalim ng buong Luzon sa state of calamity sa emergency meeting ngayong Lunes.
Saad pa ni Jalad, "PAGASA (the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration) was also instructed by NDRRMC chairperson and Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana who led the meeting to revisit its historical data to strengthen warnings beforehand.”
Samantala, ayon sa Republic Act 7581, ipinagbabawal ang pagtataas ng presyo sa mga pangunahing bilihin o pangangailangan kapag idineklara o isinailalim ang isang lugar sa state of calamity.
