Mandatory na ang pagbabakuna sa mga empleyadong nagtatrabaho on-site sa mga pampubliko at pribadong sektor simula Disyembre 1, ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Ayon kay Roque, ito ay inaprubahan ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) sa kanilang pagpupulong nitong Huwebes.

"In areas where there are sufficient supplies of Covid-19 vaccines, Covid-19 vaccination of eligible employees tasked to do on-site work shall be required by all establishments and employers in the public and private sector," pahayag ni Roque.

"However, eligible employees who remain to be unvaccinated may not be terminated but they shall be required to undergo regular RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) testing, or antigen tests, at their own expense,” dagdag niya.

Sinabi pa ni Roque na ito ay inaprubahan "to increase demand for Covid-19 vaccination".

"Public transportation services in the road, rail, maritime, and aviation sectors shall likewise require all their eligible workers to be fully vaccinated as a condition to continue their operations," paliwanag ng Spokesperson.

Dagdag pa niya na ang mga public at private establishments "may validly refuse entry and/or deny service to individuals who remain to be unvaccinated, or are merely partially vaccinated, despite being eligible for vaccination."

"Frontline and emergency services, on the other hand, shall continue to render assistance to all persons, regardless of vaccination status," aniya.

Patuloy na kumakalat sa social media ang video clip ni Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque na galit na galit sa isang grupo ng mga doktor sa gitna ng Zoom meeting ng IATF noong Martes.

Sa naturang pulong umano ay hinarang ng Philippine College of Physicians ang plano ng IATF na paluwagin ang quarantine restrictions sa Metro Manila dahil mataas pa rin ang COVID cases.

Dito na umano rumesbak si Roque dahil hindi raw nakikita ng grupo ang mga ginagawa ng pamahalaan para labanan ang virus.

“We employed the ‘entire government approach’ thinking about economic ramifications, thinking about the people (who) will go hungry. It does not mean that we care any less,” pagalit na sabi ni Roque sa kumalat na video clip.

“And let me point out to everyone, this group, they have never said anything good about the government response,” dugtong pa niya.

Ayon sa ulat, tinangka pa umano siyang pakalmahin ni Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III ngunit ‘di raw nagpaawat ang tagapagsalita.

Sa oras ng paglalathala nito ay hindi pa sumasagot si Roque hinggil sa isyu.

Isasailalim ang Metro Manila sa general community quarantine (GCQ) simula Setyembre 8 hanggang 30 sa kabila ng COVID-19 pandemic, pahayag ng Malacañang ngayong Lunes.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, ang granular lockdown ay sisimulan sa Metro Manila sa panahon ng GCQ bagaman aniya, “wala pang guidelines na inilalabas” hinggil dito.

“There are no guidelines yet since the Inter-Agency Task Force is yet to adopt a Resolution on granular lockdown,” ani Roque, kung saan ang ahensiya ang siyang policy-making body ng gobyerno sa pagtugon sa pandemya.

Matatandaang ang Metro Manila ay isinailalim sa enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), ang pinakamahigpit na quarantine classification, mula Agosto 6 hanggang 20 sa gitna ng pagdami ng kaso ng mas nakahahawang Delta COVID-19 variant.

Gayunman, ang quarantine classification sa Metro Manila ay ibinaba na sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) na naging epektibo hanggang Setyembre 7.

Sa ilalim ng MECQ bahagyang pinapayagan ang non-essential services na mag-operate.

Samantala, umaabot na sa mahigit sa 20,000 kada araw ang bagong kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa matapos na makapagtala ang Department of Health (DOH) sa nakalipas na tatlong sunod na araw ng naturang bilang.
