Hindi na kailangan pang maghabol para sa huling sakay ng mga commuters sa Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT2) dahil pinalawig na ang operating hours ng railway, ayon sa Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).
Sa isang advisory ngayong Biyernes, ipinahayag ng LRTA na simula Hunyo 17, 2022, ang operasyon ng LRT2 ay papalawigin upang anila, “to serve more passengers.”
“From the original schedule of 8:30 p.m., the last commercial train departing from Antipolo station will be adjusted to 9:00 p.m.,” ani LRTA. Gayundin, ang huling commercial train na aalis mula Recto station ay magiging alas-9:30 ng gabi mula sa orihinal na alas-9:00 ng gabi.
“The move is line with the goal of the Department of Transportation (DOTr), under the leadership of Secretary Art Tugade, and the Light Rail Transit Authority to aid the commuting needs of the riding public by serving for longer hours as more employees are returning to onsite work and students attending face-to-face classes,” pahayag ng LRTA.
Ang 17-kilometer LRT2 ay mayroong 13 stations, sa kahabaan nito mula Recto Avenue sa Manila hanggang Masinag sa Antipolo, Rizal.
