Muling ipagbabawal sa Quezon City ang paggamit ng plastik simula ika-1 ng Marso sa ilalim ng City Ordinance 2869-2019.


Una itong ipinagbawal noong nakaraang taon ng Enero ngunit nahinto dahil sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).


Pagdating naman sa ika-1 ng Hulyo ay ipagbabawal na rin sa mga dine-in customer ng bawat restaurant ang paggamit ng disposable na platik katulad ng kutsara, tinidor, baso, pinggan, straw, stirrers, at styrofoam sa ilalim ng City Ordinance 2876-2019.


Ang mga establisimiyentong mahuhuling lalabag ay magmumulta ng P1,000 para sa first offense, samantalang P3,000 para sa second offense at posible ring matanggalan ng business permit. Kung aabot sa third offense ay magmumulta ng P5,000, matatanggalan ng business permit at ipapasarado ang negosyo.


Nag-issue na si Mayor Joy Belmonte ng memo sa bawat mall, palengke, kainan, botika, at mga tinging-tindahan ukol dito. Pinaaalalahanan ang mga mamimili na magdala ng eco bag o paper bag bilang pamalit sa plastik.

Isasailalim ang Borongan City, Eastern Samar sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) sa loob ng dalawang linggo simula ngayong araw, January 18, dahil sa paglobo ng kaso ng COVID-19.


Sa nilagdaang Executive Order No. 001-0121 ni Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Agda, nakasaad na kabilang sa mga high risk areas ang naturang lugar.


Saad din sa naturang order, “Only essential travels will be allowed in going to and from the city and the poblacion area.”


Kabilang umano sa mga itinuturing na essential travels ay ang “work purposes whether in the government or private; medical and health emergencies; and travel for the purpose of purchasing foods and medicines subject to reasonable limitations as herein provided.”


Mahigpit ding ipinagbabawal ang lahat ng uri ng mass gatherings kabilang na ang religious activities, at magpapatupad din ng 8 PM hanggang 5 AM na curfew.


Bawal ding lumabas ang mga edad 21 pababa at 60 pataas maliban kung kinakailangang bumili ng mga essential goods.


Bawal din ang dine-in sa mga restaurants at kasabay ng MECQ ay ipapatupad din umano ang liquor ban.


Samantala, ang mga indibidwal na lalabag sa naturang Executive Order ay maaaring magmulta ng halagang P3,000 hanggang P5,000 at pagkakakulong ng hindi lalagpas sa 30 araw.


Sa mga establisimyento namang lalabag, maaaring magmulta ng P5,000 sa first offense at P5,000 din sa second offense kasabay ng “revocation of business permit.”

Isasailalim sa Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) ang Lanao del Sur simula September 7 hanggang 30 dahil sa pagtaas ng kaso ng Covid-19 sa naturang lugar.


Pahayag ng Provincial Government of Lanao Del Sur sa kanilang Facebook page, “The

Coordinated Operations to Defeat Epidemic (C.O.D.E.) Team, headed by the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, held their meeting at the 2nd Mechanized Brigade Covered Court, Maria Christina, Iligan City. The LGUs of the Provincial Governments of Lanao del Sur and Lanao del Norte, Iligan City and Marawi City attended the said meeting.

“The C.O.D.E. is a protocol for active case finding through close coordination between the Department of Health (DOH) and local communities across the country. It is a patient and community-focused response strategy with key elements incorporated from the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Test-Treat strategy.


“Also present during the visit are the National Action Plan (NAP) Chief Implementer and

Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr.,

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Martin Andanar, Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) Assistant Secretary Wilben Mayor, Bureau of Communications Services Director Pebbles Duque, and representatives from DOH, DILG and DSWD.


“The body agreed to place Lanao del Sur and Marawi City under Modified Enhanced

Community Quarantine effective September 7, 2020.”


Saad naman ni Bangsamoro Transition Authority Parliament Member Zia Alonto Adiong,

“Lanao del Sur will be placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine starting

September 7 up to September 30, 2020. This is due to the sudden rise of Covid-19 positives and the presence of local transmission in the area. Based on the monthly Covid-19 Data Analysis Report of Lanao del Sur Provincial Inter-Agency Taskforce, in the month of August, the province recorded a number of 167 positive Covid-19 cases of which 119 are declared local transmission. This month of September, 11 cases are recorded, all are considered local transmission.


As of today, the confirmed Covid-19 cases for the Province of Lanao del Sur reaches 360 since the outbreak of the pandemic last March with 112 active cases for the past two

months and 241 recorded recoveries.”
