Sa kabila ng pangamba sa posibleng surge ng COVID-19 infections matapos ang May 9 elections, mananatili sa Alert Level 1 classification ang National Capital Region (NCR) hanggang Mayo 15, 2022, ayon sa Malacañang.
Sa isang statement, batay na rin sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF), sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson Martin Andanar na isasailalim din sa Alert Level 1 mula Mayo 1 hanggang 15 ang mga sumusunod na lugar:
Sa Luzon
• Cordillera Administrative Region: Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, at Baguio City;
• Region I: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, at Dagupan City;
• Region II: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, at City of Santiago;
• Region III: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, at Olongapo City;
• Region IV-A: Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, at Lucena City;
• Region IV-B: Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, at Puerto Princesa City;

Una nang sinabi ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na hindi ide-deescalate o isasailalim sa Alert Level 0 ang bansa hanggang aniya, “everything is alright”.
Isasailalim naman sa Alert Level 2 sa parehong petsa, ang mga sumusunod na probinsiya, highly urbanized cities (HUCs), at independent component cities (ICCs(sad)

“Alert Level classifications of component cities and municipalities under IATF Resolution No. 166-A (s.2022) not otherwise affected by this Resolution shall remain in effect until May 15, 2022,” pahayag pa ni Andanar.
