Lip at cheek tint na dahilan ng organ failure, pinangalanan ng FDA

Nagbabala ang Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sa publiko tungkol sa pagbili at paggamit ng Ever Bilena's EB Lip & Cheek Stain Night Berry dahil sa naglalaman umano ito ng sobrang microbial contaminants na mapanganib sa kalusugan.

Sa advisory na inilabas ng FDA, base sa isinagawa nilang test, ang dami ng microbial contaminants na mayroon ang nasabing produkto ay higit sa 1000 cfu/g na itinatakdang limit ng ahensiya.

"And as published in the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD)," nakasaad pa sa advisory, "the aforementioned adulterated product is found to be non-compliant with the existing standards, and, thus, pose potential hazards to the consuming public," ayon sa FDA.

"The use of adulterated cosmetic products may result to adverse reactions, including but not limited to, skin irritation, itchiness, anaplylactic shock and organ failure," sabi ng FDA.

Sa isang statement naman na nai-post sa Twitter ng Ever Bilena, ayon sa kumpanya, nagsasagawa na rin sila ng kanilang internal testing upang i-validate ang lumabas na pagsusuri ng FDA habang anila, "results should be out in 7 days."

"Simultaneously, we are also engaging with a 3rd party lab for their findings," ayon pa sa kumpanya. Gayundin, sinabi ng Ever Bilena company na ang apektado lamang na produkto sa FDA advisory ay ang batch #19A03QW ng Lip & Cheek Stain Night Berry variant.

"We would like to inform everyone that all of our products go through quality control before they are go signaled for distribution to the market," sabi pa ng kumpanya.

Ayon pa sa Ever Bilena, ang kanilang mga produkto ay napasailalim sa microbial testing bago ito inilabas sa mga pamilihan habang sinisiguro rin nila sa publiko, "[e]verything released from warehouse are FDA compliant."
