Mga guro, magulang at estudyante, binati ng DepEd na natapos ang klase kahit pandemic

Pinuri ng Department of Education (DepEd) ang lahat ng mga guro at estudyante na hindi natinag sa kanilang pagsisikap na mag-aral sa gitna ng pandemya ng COVID-19, kasabay ng pagtatapos ng school year 2020-2021 nitong Biyernes.

“Despite being tested in an extraordinary time, our learners persevered and made valuable gains for their future,” ani DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones sa isang statement.

“I am confident that this new breed of Filipino nation-builders -- one that has experienced unusual obstacles -- will be vital in moving the country for the years to come,” dagdag ni Briones.

Gayunman, hindi lahat ng mga estudyante ay nanatili sa pag-aaral dahil ilan sa kanila ay huminto sa online classes sanhi ng kawalan ng mga gadgets at internet connection na kinakailangan.

Matinding hamon din ang naranasan ng mga magulang dahil sa nagpalit ng pagtuturo at pag-aaral ang pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng online learning.

Ayon kay Briones, malaki ang utang na loob ng ahensiya sa mga magulang at lahat ng guro, kung saan ilan sa kanila ang nagpupuyat at nagpapagod para ihanda ang mga modules na kailangan ng kanilang mga estudyante.

“We are greatly indebted to the dedication that you have given to your children during this crisis. Truly, your efforts have come to fruition as we celebrate this momentous day,” sabi pa ng kalihim.

Nakatakda sanang magtapos ang klase noong Hunyo, subalit nag-extend ang DepEd sa school year 2020-2021 para sa basic education hanggang nitong Biyernes, Hulyo 10.

Limited face-to-face classes, oks — CHED

Maaari nang makapagsagawa ng limited face-to-face classes ang 24 higher education institutions (HEIs) sa bansa na epektibo sa 2nd Semester of Academic Year (AY) 2020-2021, ayon sa Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Ayon kay CHED Chairperson Prospero De Vera III, napag-alaman na ang mga naturang HEIs ay nakasunod sa guidelines ng ahensiya, Department of Health (DOH) at COVID-19 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) matapos ang isinagawa nilang inspeksiyon at ng local government units (LGUs).

Pahayag ni De Vera, “So they can now bring their 3rd and 4th year students for hands-on training and laboratory classes” sa limited face-to-face system.

Aniya pa, “CHED will continue to monitor these HEIs and I am confident that they will provide safe and healthy spaces for their students in the coming months.”

Ayon din kay De Vera, ang mga health-related degree programs katulad ng Medicine, Nursing, Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science, Physical Therapy, Midwifery, at Public Health ang prayoridad na makapagsagawa ng limited face-to-face classes.

Saad pa ni De Vera, ito ay isinulong upang “(To) enable students to achieve key learning outcomes on specialized laboratory courses and hospital-based clinical clerkship/internship/practicum” at “(To) provide additional manpower to the country’s health system.”
