Inanunsiyo ng property developer na Century Properties Group, Incorporation noong Lunes, Pebrero 22 ang pagre-resign ni Director Jose Roberto “Robbie” Antonio, anak ni former US Ambassador Jose E.B. Antonio, upang mapagtuunan ng pansin ang isinampa sa kanyang Syndicated Estafa ng siyam na contractors at suppliers ng Revolution Precrafted Properties Philippines, Inc..
“I know I am making the correct decision to step down from my position in CPG as I will leave it under the very capable leadership of the board and the professional expertise of its senior management team. This will also allow me to focus on addressing the pressing issues in Revolution and its allied businesses,” aniya.
Sa paunang ulat ay pumunta noong ika-18 ng Pebrero sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang siyam bilang representative ng mahigit 300 na negosyanteng naloko diumano ni Antonio. Anila, pinagbayad sila ng 10% para ma-close ang deal at makuha ang kontrata, ngunit hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin bumabalik ang mga ipinuhunan nila.
Iginiit naman ni Antonio na naapektuhan ng pandemya ang Revolution Precrafted kaya hindi pa nakakabangon ang kumpanya. “The company is ready to settle legitimate obligations, which have fallen due and has no intention to renege on these legitimate contractual claims… The pandemic has activated force majeure stipulations in our contracts and has caused issues with our business transactions as it did with other industries.”
Sa ngayon ay bakante pa ang posisyon ni Antonio at humahanap na ang Century Properties Group Inc. ng magiging kapalit niya.
Batay naman sa Philippine Stock Exchange, bumaba sa 2.41% at P0.405 ang halaga ng shares ng kumpanya nitong Lunes.
