P30M smuggled na yosi mula China, nasabat ng BOC

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang undeclared boxes ng sigarilyo na nagkakahalagang P30 million sa Misamis Oriental.

Ayon sa BOC, ang naturang shipment ay mula sa China na dumating sa Mindanao Container Terminal (MCT) sa Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental noong Mayo 20.

Kinabukasan ay nagsagawa ng partial examination ang X-Ray Field Office, Enforcement Security Service (ESS) CDO District at Philippine Coastguard Northern Mindanao kung saan nadiskubre ang mga sigarilyo na idineklarang footwear.

Kaagad namang nag-issue ang awtoridad ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention laban sa mga nasa likod ng naturang shipment.

Pahayag ng BOC, “The shipment was consigned to a certain Lorna Oftana from General Santos City and is now under formal investigation for allegedly violating RA 10863 otherwise known as Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).”

Higit P15-M ecstasy, buking dahil sa x-ray result

Nasabat ng awtoridad ang mahigit P15-million halaga ng hinihinalang ecstasy tablets sa Central Post Office, Quezon City noong Martes nang hapon.

Sa pagtutulungan ng Bureau of Customs NAIA, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), at NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), nakumpiska ang 9,243 ecstasy tablets o party drugs na nakalagay sa tatlong parcels na may label na “baby clothes,” “handbag and shoes,” at “clothes”.

Inaresto ng awtoridad ang claimant ng naturang parcel na sina Michael De Guzman at Rowena Canapit. Si Canapit ay authorized representative ng consignee na si Glory Joy Buzeta.

Ayon sa record, sina Agner Buzeta at Victor Martis ang nag-ship ng mga produkto mula sa Netherlands.

Nadiskubre ang ecstasy tablets dahil sa kahina-hinalang resulta ng x-ray sa mga parcels kung kaya’t nagsagawa ng 100% physical examination ang awtoridad.

Pahayag naman ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), “The said discovery and seizure of illegal drugs were promptly coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for the conduct of controlled delivery operation against the consignee and other responsible individuals for possible prosecution for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 in relation to Section 1401 of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.”

P150-M ilegal na PPEs, face masks at shields, nasabat sa Binondo, Manila

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang tinatayang aabot sa halagang P150 million unregistered personal protective equipment (PPE) kabilang na ang mga face masks at shields sa isang warehouse sa Binondo, Manila noong May 5.

Sa pakikipagtulungan ng BOC sa Manila International Container Port’s (MICP) Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS) at Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), hindi nakalusot ang mga naturang produkto.

Kaakibat ng Letter of Authority (LOA) na nilagdaan ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, nag-inspeksiyon ang awtoridad sa storage facility at natagpuan ang mga hindi rehistradong Aidelai masks at Heng De face shields, cosmetic/beauty products, luxury clothing, mga laruan at cellphone cases.

Saad pa ng BOC, “Further inventory and investigation are underway to ascertain the value and for the possible filing of charges for violation of Section 1400 of RA 10863 also known as the Customs Modernization Act (CMTA).

“The Bureau reiterates the importance of ensuring the authenticity of items especially for items such as face masks and other PPE.”
