Suspendido pa rin sa Facebook Inc. ang dating pangulo ng United States na si Donald Trump hanggang sa January, 2023.

Unang sinuspinde ng Facebook si Trump noong naganap ang riot sa Capitol Hill nu’ng January 6, 2021 matapos sumugod ang kanyang mga tagasuporta.

Ayon sa Facebook noong Biyernes, 2 taon ang suspensiyon ni Trump at pag-aaralan pa nila ang pag-alis ng pagkaka-block ng dating pangulo sa naturang platform kung masisigurong masusunod ang public safety standards.

Pahayag pa ni Facebook Head of Global Affairs Nick Clegg, “Given the gravity of the circumstances that led to Mr. Trump’s suspension, we believe his actions constituted a severe violation of our rules which merit the highest penalty available under the new enforcement protocols.”

Ayon din kay Clegg, kapag natapos na ang 2-year ban ni Trump, iimbestigahan pa rin nila ang mga aktibidad nito sa Facebook kung lalabag pa rin siya sa public safety rules.

Aniya, "If we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of time and continue to re-evaluate until that risk has receded."

Maaari rin umanong tuluyan nang alisin ang social network ni Trump kapag nagpatuloy pa ang kanyang paglabag sa mga rules.

Saad pa ni Clegg, "We know today’s decision will be criticized by many people on opposing sides of the political divide.

"But, our job is to make a decision in as proportionate, fair and transparent a way as possible, in keeping with the instruction given to us by the Oversight Board."

Gyms, spas, internet cafes, ipinasara; liquor ban ipatutupad sa QC

Magpapatupad ang lokal na pamahalaan ng Quezon City ng city-wide liquor ban at pansamantalang ipasasara ang ilang establisimyento sa lungsod simula bukas, March 15 hanggang March 31 dahil sa biglaang pagtaas ng COVID-19 cases sa National Capital Region (NCR).

“The drastic increase of cases is very alarming. We want to stop the transmission as early as now so that we no longer have to implement another nationwide lockdown,” ani Mayor Joy Belmonte sa isang pahayag ngayong Linggo.

Ayon kay Belmonte, ang lahat ng mga retail stores at nagbebenta ng mga alcoholic beverages ay suspendido nang dalawang linggo. Gayundin, ipinasara ng city government ang lahat ng gyms, spas, at internet cafes matapos aniyang magkaroon ng “serious outbreak in one gym.”

Nagbigay din ng direktiba si Belmonte sa mga barangay na muling mag-isyu ng quarantine passes upang malimitahan ang galaw ng mga residente.

“However, a barangay may not close down any establishment without the approval of the city government,” sabi ni Belmonte.

Sinabi rin ng alkalde na ang mga returning overseas Filipinos na nananatili sa mga hotels at iba pang accommodations sa lungsod na inorganisa ng pamahalaan o private entities ay kinakailangang mag-report sa itinakdang opisina ng Quezon City para sa kaukulang protocols.

“They must report to the Office of the City Administrator for documentation and monitoring, and for guidance on health, security, and logistics protocols,” ayon sa inilabas na statement ng alkalde. “All OFWs are required to complete the mandatory quarantine period of at least 14 days regardless of the RT-PCR test result,” diin pa ni Belmonte.

“All member offices of the city’s law and order cluster, regulatory departments, the barangays, and the QCPD and its police stations shall continue enforcing the protocols contained in these guidelines,” dagdag niya.
