Mahigit isang milyong doses ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines ang dumating sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 ngayong Biyernes.

Lumapag sa NAIA ang China Airlines Flight CI 701 na sakay ang 1.15 million doses ng AstraZeneca kaninang alas-10:09 nang umaga.

Ayon sa ulat, binili ng pampribadong sektor ang mga naturang bakuna bilang tulong sa vaccination program ng bansa.

Ayon kay Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion, inaasahang may darating pang karagdagang 1.15 million doses ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines sa bansa sa Agosto.

Aniya pa, "A total of 2.75 million employees from close to 500 companies are expected to benefit from this — not to mention those who will benefit from the LGU procured doses.”

Dumating na kagabi sa Villamor Air Base ang 1,124,100 doses ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines mula sa Japan.

Si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kasama ang Japanese embassy officials, National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, at Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) executives ang sumalubong sa pagdating ng mga bakuna.

Pinasalamatan ni P-Duterte ang Japan at aniya, “Japan continues to be our strong partner in various development programs, our cooperation in fighting the pandemic is truly an indication of the deep friendship between our two countries.

“Let me assure everyone that throughout our vaccination rollout, we will prioritize the safety and quality of all vaccines that we are distributing across the country.”

Nanawagan din ang pangulo sa publiko na magpabakuna na laban sa COVID-19 at patuloy na sumunod sa mga ipinatutupad na health protocols.

Saad ng pangulo, “I, therefore, urge everyone to get vaccinated and help prevent the further spread of the virus. We should all continue to follow safety rules and health protocols even when fully vaccinated.”

Mahigit sa isang milyon doses ng COVID-19 vaccine na AstraZeneca na donasyon ng Japan ang dumating ngayong Huwebes nang gabi, July 8, 2021.

Ayon kay Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, ito ay isa sa dalawang batch ng AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine shipment na inaasahang maide-deliver ngayong linggo. “We are expecting two batches of AstraZeneca this week. The first one was that donated by the Japanese government which will arrive tonight,” ani Roque sa press briefing kanina.

Nasa 1,124,100 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines ang donasyon ng Japanese government sa Pilipinas. Ang ikalawang shipment na isa ring donasyon sa pamamagitan ng World Health Organization (WHO)-led COVAX Facility ay nasa 2,028,000 doses ng COVID-19 vaccines.

Ang mga donasyong bakuna sa ilalim ng COVAX ay maaari lamang magamit ng mga health workers, senior citizens o mga edad 60 at pataas, mga persons with comorbidities, at indigent o mahihirap na indibidwal.

Gayundin, sinabi ni Roque na 170,000 doses ng COVID-19 vaccine na Sputnik V ng Russia ay inaasahang dumating ngayong linggo.
