Nagbigay-pugay ang Filipino-Chinese business community sa yumaong Philippine Ambassador to China na si Jose Santiago "Chito" Sta. Romana, ayon kay Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) President Dr. Henry Lim Bon Liong sa naging pahayag nito sa media.
“The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) and the Filipino Chinese business community condole with the family and loved ones of the late Philippine Ambassador to China Jose Santiago “Chito” Sta. Romana, whose sad and untimely demise is a great loss to the Philippines.
“We pay tribute to the outstanding record of diplomatic service, patriotism, wisdom and professionalism of Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana, most especially his contributions to the success of President Rodrigo R. Duterte’s independent foreign policy and the normalization of our vital diplomatic relations of the Philippines with our traditional trade partner and ancient ally China”, ani FFCCCII President Dr. Lim.
Sa hiwalay namang pahayag sa ginanap na press briefing ng Communications Secretary at acting presidential spokesperson na si Martin Andanar, ipinarating din nito ang pakikiramay ng Malacañang sa pagpanaw ng embahador, “Nagbibigay-pugay kami kay Ambassador Sta. Romana sa kanyang mga nagawa para tumibay ang (we are paying tribute to Ambassador Sta. Romana for his contributions to strengthen the) Philippine-China relations. Our thoughts and prayers to the Sta. Romana family,” aniya.
Mula sa pamunuan ng pahayagang BULGAR, taos-puso po naming ipinaaabot ang pakikidalamhati at pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Ambassador Chito Sta. Romana.
