‘Aliw ang sagot ni Ogie Alcasid nang tanungin siya sa presscon kung bakit ipo-produce niya ng concert si Martin Nievera.
“Well, Gary (Valenciano) was not available,” pagbibiro ni Ogie.
“Joke lang,” pahabol niya. Tawa naman nang tawa si Martin sa sagot ni Ogie.
Yes, si Ogie nga at ang kanyang A-Team (kasama si Cacai Velasquez) ang producer ng The King 4Ever concert ni Martin na gaganapin sa Smart Araneta Coliseum sa Setyembre 27, 2024. Ito ay bilang selebrasyon din ng ika-42 anibersaryo ni Martin sa industriya.
Ginanap ang mediacon para sa nasabing upcoming concert noong nakaraang Biyernes sa Solaire Resort North.
Sa seryosong sagot, ayon kay Ogie, nagsimula raw ang pagbuo ng concert ni Martin noong Disyembre, 2023 sa Kapamilya Christmas Party. Nasa isang dressing room daw sila at napag-usapan ang mga plano para sa 2024.
“So, I kind of asked him kung ‘When are you doing your concert?’ He actually didn’t know, so sabi ko, ‘Oh, let’s produce your concert.’ So, sabi n’ya, ‘Ikaw, kung gusto mo.’ Akala niya, ‘di ako seryoso,” kuwento ni Ogie.
At doon na nga nagsimula ang lahat.
“So, when we put it together, sabi ko, ‘Okay, that’s good.’ And then, we kept meeting and then, I asked Cacai to join us,” sey ni Ogie.
“You know, si Martin, he’s very humble. He doesn’t wanna be called ‘king.’ But he is our king, he is our Concert King, so if he doesn’t wanna say it, I will say it,” sabi ni Ogie.
Sa nasabing mediacon, nasabi ni Martin na medyo takot na siya ngayon sa malalaking venues, hindi tulad ng dati.
“I was against doing it in a big venue. I don’t think I can do that by myself anymore the way I used to. You all know, we all know about it before how well I could fill up this venue or that venue and have 3 or 4 shows or concerts in a year. That doesn’t happen anymore for the likes of me,” sey ng Concert King.
Naintindihan naman ni Ogie ang nararamdaman ni Martin at aniya, fear ito talaga ng lahat ng artists.
“Alam mo, fear lahat ‘yan ng artists. So, as an artist, I can totally identify with that. But we’re here. Sabi ko nga sa kanya, we’re here behind him, ‘You have a great team behind you, and we’ll make sure that all your subjects as a king, we’ll be there,” aniya.
Natawa si Martin.
“I think, the energy is set right by Martin that you know, I like what he said that he’s in a good place. I like what he said that he’s okay, that he feels good and I think that’s the best position to be as he prepares for— as he says— his biggest challenge,” dagdag ni Ogie.
Aniya pa, bilang producer, malaking challenge rin naman daw ito sa kanila.
“You know, it’s also a big challenge for us as producers but I think, in life, you have to do things that really scare you, otherwise, your life will be totally boring,” dagdag niya.
But he assured na sama-sama raw nilang haharapin ang challenge na ito.
“We’re all doing this together and facing our fears together. Let’s do this together,” sey ni Ogie Alcasid.
Isang oras nag-iiyak si Ruffa Gutierrez dahil sa paghihiwalay nila ng kanyang bunsong anak na si Venice Bektas.
Sa kanyang Instagram (IG) post, sinabi ng aktres na magsisimula na si Venice ng kolehiyo sa ibang bansa at ibinahagi ang mga larawan ng anak sa airport.
“Today, my youngest daughter, @venicebektas, will spread her wings and begin a new chapter in her life as a university student.
“Saying goodbye is so difficult! I’ve been ugly crying for an hour now but I know that you will be chasing your dreams while forging new friendships,” sey ni Ruffa sa caption.
Mensahe niya kay Venice, “Be a good girl, focus, study hard and always pray. I love you!”
Binilinan din niya ang panganay na anak na si Lorin. Aniya, “@loringabriella, please be a caring Ate and visit Venice when you have time.”
